Descripción
Sumario:In this work, we are going to expose part of the research carried out by the PIBIC project entitled “The translation of culturemas present in the tourist brochures of the city of Porto Velho: the (un)translatability of specific cultural elements). The general objective of the project is to offer a translation of the tourist guide of the city of Porto Velho to the Spanish language. We have as theoretical basis the functionalist authors of the translation Nord (2016), Reiss and Vermeer (1996); the linguists Marcuschi (2008) and Koch (2014), and finally the author Nobs (2006) who supports us when we talk about tourism. One of the methodologies applied is action-research, as we understand that constant changes occur in the research phases and stages. Finally, some of the results obtained so far are: a) the largest number of culturemas found are part of the “Tourist Spots” category, both in the theme “Historical and Cultural” and in “Ecological and Natural”.
