| Sumario: | The article analyzes rural youth projects for the construction of their processes of social emancipation. The case study was carried out in municipalities of the Territory of the Central Region of Rio Grande do Sul, generating qualitative and quantitative data. Rural young people experience different problems and build special social emancipation projects, which go through linking in school institutions, incorporation in paid work and social reproduction in family agriculture. Material precariousness and depreciation of living and working conditions in agriculture limit the permanence of young people in rural areas and the social construction of successors in family agriculture. |
