Resumo:With the issue of sustainability on the rise, companies are beginning to take measures to mitigate the environmental impacts generated by the production process. In addition, legislation is becoming more severe on environmental issues, and this factor involves the correct disposal of waste produced by companies. From the knowledge of the costs involved in this reverse flow, the company can better understand this process and implement improvements in order to reduce waste. The objective of this work is to map the reverse logistics of an industrial packaging company in northern Santa Catarina, Brazil. The data were obtained by means of a case study. From the RL mapping it was possible to raise the costs involved in this practice and distribute them to the logistics activities involved. After analyzing these costs, it was verified that the reverse logistics can generate positive revenue for the company, besides generating environmental and social gains.
