Sumario:The teaching of Botany has been seen as uninteresting by students, enhancing a phenomenon called “botanical blindness”. That said, the present study carried out a systematic review of dissertations and theses defended between 2002 and 2022 in Higher Education Institutions in the North region, using the Database of the Brazilian Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations, based on two descriptors, “Botany Teaching" and "Teaching Botany in the Amazon" , we sought to identify the expressiveness of research in the region and understand which states contributed most to research, enabling the perception of the most favored plant groups in these studies. There were 12 dissertations, representing 5, 5% of the national production, indicating a lack of interest in understanding the teaching of Botany in the Amazon region.
