| Summary: | We seek to understand how the construction of the feminine occurs in the film Wonder Woman (2017) by director and screenwriter Patty Jenkins, having as an empirical object the main character, Diana. The analysis was based on the identification of 10 stages of the heroine's journey by Murdock (1990) with the contribution of Joseph Campbell's narrative (1997). It was possible to identify that, although Diana lives a heroine's journey that dialogues with the story of countless women around the world, it is not a complete journey and that there is still a difficulty in American cinema in telling the story of a woman without the their motivations are linked to a romantic couple. |
