Sumario:Although there are some efforts to integrate the capabilities and economy of transaction costs perspectives, advances in this direction are scarce. The integration of these two perspectives is an emerging area of study called transactional capability. This article aims to examine the transactional capabilities of firms operating in the Peruvian financial system. The method chosen, for the search for evidence in that sector, is the study of multiple cases. The unit of analysis was the contract agreement corresponding to each of the ten firms surveyed consumption. The results show the existence of transactional capability in the three dimensions analyzed: customer relations, bargaining power and design contracts. Such evidence is relevant because, besides demonstrating the existence of the transactional capabilities, points to the possibility of continuing the consolidation of this new construct.
