Sumario:This study aims to uncover what remained the same and what changed in the Metropolitan Region of Rio de Janeiro (RMRJ) over the past nine years. It is worth noting that the IBGE (Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics) annually conducts the National Household Sample Survey (PNAD), which covers all federal units and metropolitan regions. The PNAD is not conducted only in the years dedicated to the Demographic Census.
