Sumario:The growth of the Brazilian foreign trade in recent period is strongly related to the expansion of foreign trade of the Chinese economy. Trade with the Northeast Region of China also took momentum in the period studied and is responsible for most of the growth of the current regional trade with the world. The article aims to analyze the introduction (in the period 2002-2007) of Chinese goods in the Northeast economy from selected sectors. For purposes of analysis, we selected groups of products that are part of traditional segments of the productive structure of the region. The selected set of sectors has been showing increasing growth, particularly the sector of footwear and sustained in recent years, despite having registered disparate behavior in regards to the intensity of gains and losses of staff position regionally.
