Sumario: The conception about knowledge in the old Greeks only took a well elaborated form and as today we understand from Plato. But it is possible to observe elementary notions of knowing, as regards the separation of cognitive capacities (sensations and intelligence) and also in the possibility of this being acquired by man, leaving aside the exclusivity of knowledge for the gods or oracle in the thought of Heraclitus from Ephesus. I propose here a clarification in this sense, analyzing some of the fragments of Heraclitus that we have available nowadays, which refer to the knowledge, the soul and the necessary condition to acquire it. We will elucidate some important Heraclitean notions about fundamental concepts of their aphorisms, such as Physis, Logos, Cosmos and Psyché.
