Sumario:This article aims to analyze how basic education teachers have worked on financial education in the classroom, developing knowledge and information about personal finances from the perspective of citizenship education. For this, field research with a qualitative approach was used, using a questionnaire with basic education teachers from 4 private schools in the municipality of Camaçari, state of Bahia. The study revealed that the difficulty in dealing with the topic depending on the range of curricular content means that the topic is not discussed in the classroom.
