| Resumo: | This article analyses the meanings attributed to homeopathy in two nineteenth century journals - the Annaes Brasilienses de Medicina (ABM) and O Medico do Povo (OMP). The hypothesis adopted is that this knowledge area it is a place that evidences the existence of internal conflicts contained in the historical categories medical class and medical science, which included diverse subjects and thoughts. Furthermore, we present the newspapers as purposely chosen places as fronts of the battle for legitimacy before the other parts of society. |
