| Sumario: | Women's fight for more opportunities and equality in the job market has led organizations to encourage the active insertion of these women into the world of work. However, there have been many structural changes in recent years, regarding cultural and social characteristics that have taken place in Brazilian society and have led to a growth, even if slow, in the insertion of women in the job market, among which the growing role of women in the labor market stands out. Agribusiness, performing functions as livestock breeders, researchers, farmers, executives of organizations in the sector and as entrepreneurs and administrators of their farms and Properties. Therefore, the objective of the study was to understand the challenges faced by women in gaining their place in leadership in agribusiness. The methodology used was qualitative in nature, descriptive in nature, carried out with eleven women who work in leadership roles on their farms and/or rural companies. To collect the information, a questionnaire was prepared and the information was processed using content analysis. The results emphasize an important advancement of the female gender in this area and the importance they have in this environment. Among the barriers, machismo, prejudice and inequality present themselves as a prominent cultural aspect in the participants' perception, showing that in this sector gender inequality is lower compared to past times, but persists, even with the gradual increase in female participation. in strategic positions in these properties. |
