Resumo:Cardiovascular alterations can be generated from intense and prolonged physical training, which allow the athlete's heart to develop a high physical performance. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to examine the electrocardiographic tracings in professional male soccer players. A total of 41 professional soccer players aged between 17 and 35 years were evaluated. For the electrocardiographic analysis, a standard 12-lead ECG was used, at a speed of 25 mm/s, performed at rest and under physical exertion. Each ECG was interpreted for heart rate, rhythm, conduction and axis, observing intervals, amplitudes and wavelengths. For descriptive statistics, mean and standard deviation values were used, as well as absolute and percentage values, and all analyzes were performed in the statistical program SPSS for Windows 20.0. Of the 63 players evaluated, 42 (66.6%) had some electrocardiographic alteration, and some had more than one alteration. Of the electrocardiographic alterations, the increase in the Q wave, the depression of the J point with a fast-ascending ST segment and arrhythmia stands out.
