Resumo:Introduction: The high consumption of ultra-processed foods and the reduction in the practice of physical activity characterizes the dietary transition that has been affecting the adult and child population, a transition that can lead to the emergence of chronic non-communicable diseases. Objective: To analyze the prevalence of consumption of ultra-processed foods and nutritional status in children, in the State of Pernambuco. Materials and Methods: This is a descriptive cross-sectional study, carried out between the months of January and December 2020, with secondary data on food consumption and nutritional status of children in the school life phase attended by Primary Care in the state of Pernambuco obtained through public access reports made available on the SISVAN online platform (internet). Conclusion: The consumption of ultra-processed foods among children in the State of Pernambuco is high and overweight was higher than underweight according to BMI / Age assessment.
