Resumo:This research aims to characterize patients who have received psychological assistance at the school-clinic on São Francisco University, São Paulo Campus, from 1995 to 2000, according to their gender, age group, educational level, adhesion to the treatment to the patients who had the service and complains present for children and teenagers It was carried out through a documented retrospective methodology, done by consulting the clinical files and the selected records. From the 590 patients, 42% were from the group aged from 4 to 14 years old, 7,5% from 15 and 19 years old and 50,5% above 20 years old. This research is focused on the creation of specific services, which will cope with the demand on the psychological assistance field related to the diverse age groups, especially teenagers and elderly people.
