O trabalho demonstra a validade objetiva do axioma extra Ecclesiam nulla salus e mostra a sua importância central para o diálogo com os não-católicos, sempre na fidelidade à Verdade. Diálogo ABSTRACT The focus of the present article, backed by the Scriptures and the Church’s living Tradition, is to shed some light upon a fundamental phrase for eclesiology and, for that matter, for ecumenism. Unfortunately forgotten by many, even Catholics, the truth about the necessity of the Church regarding to salvation is absolutely essential for a correct knowledge of the catholic identity without which any serious dialogue – be it ecumenical or interreligious – is at risk of being dissolved in the plurality of opinions. The work demonstrates the objective validity of the phrase extra Ecclesiam nulla salus and shows its importance for the dialogue with non-Catholics, always in fidelity to the Truth as taught by the Church.
