| Sumario: | The article analyses the building of Partido Democrático Trabalhista (PDT) in the 80’s, taken as a scenery the city of Rio de Janeiro. Its center is the analysis of interviews with leaders who were linked to the party, published in the section What kind of socialism is this?, in the newspaper Espaço Democrático. In that section themes as democracy, socialism and labourism are treated, and dilemmas and divergences concerning to the new party are revealed. It calls attention to the political relevance of PDT in Rio de Janeiro, in the municipal as well as state sense. |
