| Sumario: | The present study aims to verify how Federal University of Uberlandia (UFU) extension actions align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and with social commitment to promoting sustainable development. To this end, based on a documentary analysis, a descriptive analysis was carried out of the evolution of UFU's extension actions in the period from 2010 to 2023 and verified their alignment with the SDGs. The results demonstrated a 348% increase in extension actions in the period from 2010 to 2023, with the most carried out modalities being projects, events, courses/workshops, programs, and provision of services, with emphasis on the area of education with the largest number of actions. In relation to alignment with the SDG, SDG 4 (Quality Education) stands out, followed by SDG 3 (Health and Well-being) and SDG 10 (Reduced inequalities). These results confirm the university's social commitment to promoting sustainable regional development through extension actions aligned with the objectives of the UN 2030 Agenda. Furthermore, the structure for recording, mapping, and monitoring extension activities presented in this study can serve as a model for other Higher Education Institutions, helping to adopt sustainable practices through education. |
