Descrição
Resumo:A review of the historical trajectory of the supervised internship in the Social Work school at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) in mental health was made. This is a bibliographic and documentary study, with a qualitative approach, which used data from a secondary source. 344 documents produced by 194 UFPI Social Work interns in 18 mental health institutions from 1981 to 2019 were located and analyzed. In time course, the Supervised Internship remained an important curricular component and privileged moment of professional training. The analysis of these documents made it possible to reveal essential elements of the history of Social Work and mental health policy in Piauí, which need to be rescued and preserved to understand the present time.
