Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to discuss the dialogue that Dalton Trevisan creates with the character Capitu, by Machado de Assis, in two texts. The first one is “Capitu sem enigma”, published in Dinorá, 1994, and the second one is “Capitu sou eu”, published in a book that bears the title of the narrative, in 2003. Based on the theory of intertextuality, we aim to discuss how the 19th century referencial has repercussions in these texts by the Curitiba author and what possible meanings can yield to the contemporary reader bearing in mind that they update issues raised Machado more than a hundred years before their respective writing.
