| Sumario: | The labor market, in its global dimension, requires different professional skills, and intercultural competence has been one of the most important. The objective of this research is to analyze the experience of voluntary international mobility – academic and/or work – in the development of intercultural competences. Using a qualitative, descriptive approach, 9 interviews were conducted with individuals who had experienced international mobility. The relevance of this experience for personal and professional development was verified, contributing to the development of different elements of intercultural competences. The role of intermediary and support institutions is highlighted, from the preparation for the trip until its return. |
