Resumo:This article presents an iconographic survey of the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi – a saint of the Catholic religion, who led a revolution in the way of feeling and representing the outside world, suggesting a new game of emblems and figurative attributes to represent the Christian religion. The survey acted as a support for the discussion of design and art history, to recognize the meanings attributed to the establishment of the configuration of sacred and cultural artifacts.
