| Sumario: | In this article, we examine the negative effects generated by wind energy production in two rural communities in the municipality of Caetés, PE. By analyzing information obtained through semi-structured interviews with small farmers and direct observation in the environment where the turbines are located, we were able to systematize the inconveniences of living near wind farms. Based on the narratives shared, we identified processes of deterritorialization, including the rural exodus, health problems that impact on the community’s quality of life. |
