Sumario:The present text delves into the task of examining the presence of the concept of post-truth in science within a scenario where debates are not based on facts and scientific evidence, but rather on personal or ideological opinions with emotional appeal or alignment with a particular worldview, which have grown exponentially. Given this context, a brief discussion is presented from a qualitative approach, incorporating elements of bibliographic and exploratory research, on the construction of scientific knowledge, its implications in the current societal context, and how the distortion of science can contribute to the reinforcement of alternative conceptions and the emergence of post-truths in the teaching and learning process. Based on the study conducted, it is evident that post-truth distorts the perception of science, generating distrust in scientific methodology. Therefore, it is essential for teachers to teach students to distinguish facts from personal beliefs, thereby promoting critical thinking and rigorous analysis to combat misinformation.
