| Sumario: | In this work, through the theoretical-methodological elements of Historical Materialism, I examine the political philosophy and political-educational propositions of Anísio Teixeira, given the nature of the capitalist system and the economic-social condition of the working masses. I defend the importance of its struggle for the struggles of workers for education and defense of the Public School, establishing its limits; given by the conception of the world that guides it, according to capitalist materiality. Finally, I criticize its national project, for its insufficiency for the emancipation of workers, and indicate the need to be overcome by the political philosophy emanating from the organizations and struggles of these masses.
