Sumario:Successful aging does not have a conceptual definition, however it is represented by active seniors. The self-efficacy is a high regulator of their own capacities for the execution of actions aiming at certain realizations. The objective of this study was to conduct a review of the literature on successful aging and self-efficacy. The literature offers evidence that self-efficacy is one of the determinants of successful old aging.
