Descripción
Sumario:The purpose of radiation protection is to provide appropriate protection to humans for the use of radiation in all its known forms, with an acceptable risk both for personnel working with X-rays and for the public and future generations. Due to the potential X-rays risks that can cause, no unnecessary exposure should be allowed. The ALARA (as low as reasonable achievable) principle that leads radiological protection in all exposures, for our case we will handle it as “As low as reasonably practical”. The aim of this work is to make interventional cardiologists and decision-makers aware of the importance to establish a training program in radiation protection.
