Sumario:The present study has in aim the evaluate the effect of log steaming on calorific value from Eucalyptus grandis. The wood and bark of the log end and bark were removed bark both before and after the steaming process at 90ºC of temperature during 18 hour. After, to determined the calorific value of wood and bark for calorific method. The results showed that: (1) the log’s steaming reduced significantly the wood calorific value of 4752,54 to 4641,55 Kcal/Kg but don’t damaged the burn potential; and (2) the bark calorific value were 3877,32 and 3862,79Kcal/Kg, respective from conhol and steamed barks wi wout significant difference.
