| Sumario: | Ouro Preto has resources recognized as Patrimony by UNESCO, which gives it a significant projection that encourages tourism, currently restricted to these resources. This research proposes a method based on spatial analysis and quantification of natural attractions related to geopatrimony for the 12 districts that make up the municipality. For each attraction, values are defined on the educational and recreational potential, as well as quantification of the risk of degradation. Subsequently, an interpolation is made considering the intensity and density of the quantifications obtained, which results in five classes representing the geotourism potential. The results indicate that all the districts have potential for geotourism, especially Santo Antônio do Leite and Lavras Novas. The authors expect this study to assist in the development of geoturism in the region. |
