Sumario:The subjectivity of historiographical work is the starting point to direct this work to concerns about the absence of women in the construction of the historiographical narrative of modern architecture, more specifically explored from the existential and historical relationship that women have with the private space, the House. Thus, based on residential architectural projects by Camillo Porto de Oliveira, an engineer and architect who was a reference in the production of modern buildings in the city of Belém, a documental analysis was developed to attest to the presence of women as commissioners or inhabitants. To this end, three modern residences in Belém were selected in order to highlight the experiences of those spaces and the aspects that extend beyond architectural materiality.
