Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to describe and interpret the archetype of the innocent present in Son Gohan, from the Dragon Ball Z anime (Akira Toriyama), according to the perspective of archetypal semiotics whose result is the articulation of semiotics with archetypal psychology. In order to reach the scope of this article, the methodological-heuristic outline of archetypal semiotics developed by Soares (2020, 2021a, 2021b, 2023) follows. Therefore, the use of the Jungian concept of archetype (JUNG, 2002) is resorted to, which, in turn, allows the extensive application of the four points of the basic needs of archetypal constitution (MARK; PEARSON, 2003) on which the analysis is based. whose tension is to understand the valence of the main traits linked to the semiotic structure of the innocent. Thus, the text is organized as follows: at first, Gohan's semiotic architecture is described and interpreted in light of the archetypal functioning of the innocent with regard to the four constituent phases of the narrative. Subsequently, based on the relationship between the four points of basic needs of archetypal constitution, the composition of Gohan's semiotic narrativity is investigated. As a result of the achievement of the outlined objective, it appears that, among other things, the particularities of the archetype in Gohan that often assists in the hero's journey.
