| Resumo: | VoiceThread (VT) is an asynchronous tool, which permits the creation of oral presentations, allowing groups of people to browse and contribute with comments using the voice. In this context, this study aims to verify how the practice with VT, in a hybrid approach, can impact the learners’ oral production. In order to answer this research question, L2 learners of English were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group was exposed to activities using the VT and, through a pre- and post-test, we verified if this practice would influence the participants’ oral production. These results were compared to the pre- and post-test scores of the control group, which was not exposed to VT. Finally, learners’ impressions were also sought through a questionnaire. The results indicate that there is a positive impact of VT on the learners’ speech production over time. They also reveal a positive reaction by the learners in relation to the hybrid experience with this web tool |
