Sumario:Compatibility between the management of water resources and land use is essential to guarantee quality of life conditions for the current population and future generations. This research aimed to analyze the use and coverage of land and water in a watershed in the State of São Paulo, so as to identify the main consumer sectors and contribute to water management. The mappings were elaborated by means of using images from the Sentinel-2 satellite. Data on water use were also surveyed (means of supply, data on grants and spatial historical evolution of center pivots used for irrigation). The main consumer sector is agriculture and the difficulty of acquiring quantitative data on water availability and water demand in Brazil is highlighted.
