| Summary: | This work was developed to give an overview of the operation, uses and applications of Eye-Tracking in the field of Linguistics. Studies are carried out in PUCRS, in Brazil and in the world, with the use of this technology to investigate the perception, comprehension and processing of the language, as well as the design of the interfaces in which these studies are developed. Eye-Tracking promotes the interaction of different areas of knowledge in the unfolding of complex cognitive processes by recording eye movements during activities such as reading, picture observation and moving scenes. Fixations, pauses, regressions and any details of the behavior of the eyes during the actions are recorded, allowing the researcher to make an accurate analysis of the human linguistic processing. |
