| Sumario: | The presented article originates from the research project entitled “Insertion of the extension on the curriculum: an analysis of the implementation and the inseparability between teaching, research and extension at IFMT”, of a qualitative nature, in which the implementation of the curriculum of extension in higher education courses of IFMT was investigated. Using a questionnaire, from which we obtained thirty-nine responses from the institution's employees who work directly with higher education courses - out of a total of sixty-two courses -, and meetings with two IFMT undergraduate course management teams, we analyzed the context of this institution, starting from a proposal to problematize the insertion of extension on the curriculum. The results point to the need to promote dialogues about the difficulties of the teaching staff and course management in implementing extension in the curriculum, as well as the importance of training, aiming at understanding this process, which is still incipient in the institution. |
