Resumo:Theories about gender and, subsequently, studies on intersectionality bring to the fore the importance of considering social markers such as gender, race, social class and nationality, in the production of knowledge in general, in addition to helping us to think of the entangled processes of (re) construction of contemporary identities. In this specific article, the main question lies on the complexity with human beings were constituted. The main character with whom the dialogue is stablished is Glória Anzaldúa, teacher, writer, queer activist and lesbian chicana, considered in this setting the thension's personification that integrate this social experience that is to live between borders. Beyond to present author with a short biography, three main works from her bibliography were analyzed which aim to realize in which manner she constructs her theory about boundaries and relates it with identities questions.
