Descripción
Sumario:This case study report is an example of the therapeutic process based on Therapy by Contingencies of Reinforcement (TCR) conducted with Cacá, 12 years old, and her parents. The initial complaints involved depression, difficulties in social relations, and “delusional speech”. Therapeutical procedures involved the schedule of differential reinforcement of other behavior (DRO), shaping and strengthening a large range of desired behaviors, incompatible with or alternative to the undesired behaviors, not dealing directly with the behaviors mentioned in the initial complaint, and not using any punitive procedures. The results showed that Cacá and her parents modified their behaviors under the influence of positive reinforcement procedure, and the affectionate relations between them were strengthened.
