Estudo sistemático dos processos hidrodinâmicos sazonais de um sistema flúvio-lacustre na região da planície costeira do Amapá, Brasil

The activities present a systematic study on the hydrodynamic process acting in three coastal lakes: Ventos lake, Mutuco lake and Comprido Baixo lake, and the extent of Tabaco igarapé, located on the coastal plain of Amapá state, coastal region Brazilian Amazon. The lakes are about 50km of the coast...

Sumario:The activities present a systematic study on the hydrodynamic process acting in three coastal lakes: Ventos lake, Mutuco lake and Comprido Baixo lake, and the extent of Tabaco igarapé, located on the coastal plain of Amapá state, coastal region Brazilian Amazon. The lakes are about 50km of the coastline, are influenced by the Amazon seasonal regime, under the effects of semidiurnal macro tidal, which reach lakes during spring tides. Recent studies have shown that these lakes have significative changes in its behavior. Factors such as changes in runoff, reducing the amount of area and sedimentation, are already evident and can compromise the functioning of the lakes system as a whole. The methodology for this study comprised a survey of information hydrodynamic, with acquisition of flow data, current and tides in May an October 2008. These results add a body of research that has been made, to expand the knowledge of the Amazon region and subsidize the elaboration of the Management Plan of the Piratuba Lake Biological Reserve
