| Summary: | The present study aims to contribute to the theoretical debate about poems considered “cordel literature”, published on the digital platform Recanto das Letras, which make it possible to reflect on the implications that derive from the change from the traditional support – printed chapbooks – to a digital medium, which changes not only the relationship between transmission and reception, which becomes potentially global, but also the themes that such poems convey. Our focus is on three poems that deal with the theme of football, which form our corpus of analysis: Cristiano Ronaldo x Messi, posted by Eryka Giulyane on March 16, 2012, Neymar Junior: o tempo e o destino de um guerreiro menino (Neymar Junior: the time and destiny of a boy warrior), posted by Sírlia Lima on June 23, 2014, and Messi e a final da Copa de 2022 (Messi and the 2022 World Cup Final), posted by Julio Augusto on December 20, 2022. |
