| Sumario: | The aim of this article is to observe how citizenship is stimulated through the analysis of the concrete case of a community TV already traditional in the State of Rio de Janeiro: Bem TV. The article is divided into three sections: a contextualization of the audiovisual aspect in contemporaneity, relating it to Guy Debord’s concept of Society of Spectacle; a discussion on community TVs and their main characteristics, based on the research work of Raquel Paiva, Cicilia Peruzzo and Muniz Sodré, highlighting cyberspace community TVs as a recent element; an analysis of a sample of the audiovisual production of Bem TV, from Niterói, based on its Youtube channel, through the selection and content analysis of four videos published in 2018 (year of presidential elections when it occurred a broad debate on social issues) and three older videos (from a period prior to the production focused specifically on the channel in question). The methodology used is the case study (with content analysis of the selected videos). The results show the stimulus to the discussion of fundamental themes for the construction of a community, inclusive and dialogical citizen relationship. |
