Descrição
Resumo:Objective: Identify the trend of Brazilian research in the field of Brazilian nursing, in theses and dissertations, related to Religiosity/Spirituality (R/S). Methods: This is a Narrative Literature Review, searching the Theses and Dissertations Database of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) on March 15, 2023. The search was based on the words “ spirituality” OR “religiosity” to cover the theme more broadly. The analysis of the study abstracts was carried out qualitatively, based on the similarity of themes between the studies. Results: 4,669 results were found. Applying the nursing filter, it totaled 284 studies. With the selection criteria, 71 studies were chosen to compose the research. Final considerations: It was highlighted in the review that most studies are related to the R/S of patients in a situation of illness. In addition, the important relationship between religiosity/spirituality and health was perceived, as well as its relevance in the work of health professionals, in patient and family care and in academic training. The gaps found in the knowledge produced concern the development of quantitative studies related to the family context, seeking to statistically analyze patterns of behavior and beliefs of family members about the influence of religious and spiritual phenomena on events related to health.
