Sumario:The extension project Support Service for People with Peripheral Arterial Disease provides physiotherapy assistance to individuals with Peripheral Arterial Disease. With the pandemic caused by Corononavirus (COVID-19), the service started to be offered remotely. The purpose of this article is to report the experience of the remote-supported self-care program of the extension project during the coronavirus pandemic period. A protocol was developed for the remote monitoring of patients, keeping the walking exercises and the muscle resistance exercises. The assessment was carried out using a satisfaction instrument for patients and students and through the patients' adherence to the remote protocol. The experience was considered positive by the patients and students. However, patient compliance was <50%. The use of digital technologies can be a barrier to adhering to the remote service, although those who overcome it assess the experience of the supported care program as positive.
