Descripción
Sumario:This essay aims to analyze the continuities and ruptures, conflicts and the claim for justice and the right to memory around places of memory referred to the Civil-Military Brazilian dictatorship (1964-1985) in the cities. The article analyzes the actions of certain social groups which are denouncing the permanence of dictatorship elements in the everyday life of cities even in a period in a democratic political system. In this sense I present a map of the recent political memory in Brazilian cities, taking as an example, especially the city of Rio de Janeiro.
