Descripción
Sumario:This dossier brings together unpublished research about Romanies undertaken in Brazil in recent years and presents them to a wider academic audience. The aim is to show Romani peoples as agents who have been co-constructing Brazil for centuries and the variety of experiences of these peoples in the national context. From different empirical approaches (and in most cases, privileging a Romani point of view), the articles gathered here reveal some of the ways in which Romanies in Brazil articulate internal relations (of kinship or communal), on the one hand, and with the non-Romani world around them, on the other.
