| Sumario: | This research had as its goal to investigate the practices of handling aggressive behavior in children in kindergarten. Fifteen professionals participated, with different levels of training and experience. Data collection was performed through semi-structured interviews, lasting 40 to 80 minutes, remotely, using the Google Meet platform. Data were organized and analyzed according to the thematic analysis methodology proposed by Braun and Clarke. The results point to the importance not only of the management practices themselves, but also the maintenance of the affective-emotional climate of the teacher-student relationship, facilitated by an attitude of respect and acceptance by professionals in moments of intervention on aggressive behavior. The emotional strain generated by the children's aggression situations was also highlighted, as well as the role of the school institution in management strategies. It is understood that there is a complexity in handling these situations in early childhood education and, therefore, the need for the involvement of various sectors for an adequate management. |
