Descrição
Resumo:The aim of this article is to analyze the process of draft laws thataim at the recognition of homoparental families in the Brazilian NationalCongress. This is documentary research involving four bills that seek theapproval of civil union between people of the same sex. It identifies thevarious strategies that reinforce oppression within the federal legislature, among them, the defense of non-recognition based on article 226 of theFederal Constitution of 1988. It is emphasized that the struggle for approvalmust be built as part of strengthening of social struggles favorable tohuman and sexual diversity aimed at denouncing and combating prejudice, violence and violation of rights directed to the LGBT population.
