| Sumario: | Exposure to pesticides has consequences on organisms, affecting plants, humans and other animals. Due to the socioeconomic and educational characteristics of rural Brazil, there are a number of shortcomings regarding the protection of farmers, who deal with these harmful products on a daily basis. In order to contribute to the theme, the present study seeks to gather information regarding the knowledge that rural producers have in relation to the risks they are exposed to inappropriately dealing with these chemicals, and whether there is a notion that it is necessary to be careful and correctly use personal protective equipment. |
