Sumario:The Ibero-American Network for Study and Sustainable Use of the Regional Biodiversity of Pharmaceutical Interest (RIBIOFAR), approved by the CYTED/CNPq, completes five years (2006- 2010) of activities with renowned Ibero- American researchers, working with bioactive products. The objective was to form a scientific-technological network comprised of various Ibero-American research groups, to study the sustainable use of the region’s biodiversity of pharmaceutical interest. This Network had very positive results, particularly the technical-scientific cooperation of various research groups, through research, courses and events. The coordinator of the RIBIOFAR Network will address the main results obtained by the groups, and the future strategies.
