Resumo:Journalism had to adapt to technological changes that have taken place in recent decades, with the need to reach an audience accustomed to new internet tools and a faster data and memory retrieval capacity. Thus, sports journalism, a more informal and free specialty among others, is also included in this context, since, with the greater processing capacity, sports such as basketball started to be based on even more detailed numbers for decision-making. In addition, the need to adapt to various platforms and the openings for interactions with the public have generated possibilities for more diverse content production, whether in video, text or audio. Therefore, this work seeks to understand how the National Basketball League, an institution formed by Brazilian teams in the sport, was organized to expand its reach in the country, from the dissemination of its biggest championship, the NBB. From a follow-up of the competition's playoff games, we observe that social networks, the website and TV broadcasts complement each other, exploring the functionalities of each one.
