| Sumario: | In recent years, planet earth has begun to feel a very strong pressure with regard to the conservation of the environment and the management of natural resources. In Mozambique, although it is not clear that climate change is the consequence of poor environmental management, it is necessary to take into account the importance of environmental conservation and the management of natural resources in Mozambican society. To this end, the research presented here aims to understand environmental justice as a tool to promote equity in environmental management, distribution of risks and environmental damages. The main objective is to raise awareness in Mozambican society for its intervention through public participation in the procedures for the implementation of environmental justice, in the exploitation of natural resources and in equitable treatment, as well as promoting equal access to information and democratic mitigation of environmental damage in Mozambique. The research is qualitative in nature and theoretical-philosophical, seeking to answer the following question: To what extent can environmental justice be a tool for the practice of environmental management and conservation? Certainly, it is intended to understand environmental justice oriented to the understanding of safeguarding the environment; contribute to the denunciation of environmental injustices and environmental management in favor of the fair distribution of environmental risks; Promote the distribution and access of information and involve all Mozambican society in participation in environmental decision-making and maintenance with a view to equitable sustainability. The conclusions accentuate the awareness of Mozambican society in the participation of public decisions so that the strategies taken for the practice of environmental justice become comprehensive in reducing the vulnerability of climate change in Mozambique. |
